MCM Scotland Comic Con Preview Edition

It’s time for the latest edition of our weekly Newswire. A few days later than normal but partly because we’ve been very busy in the run up to MCM Glasgow Comic Con this weekend. Read on below for updates on Tokyo Ghoul, Sword Art Online II and more.

NEWS/GENERAL UPDATES

~ First of all Sword Art Online II: Part 1 is available now and the reaction to our release has been great to see! If you haven’t got your copy yet and you’re on the fence about doing so, check out our full unboxing of the Limited Collector’s Edition Blu-ray/DVD version HERE.

~ Our next release will be Tokyo Ghoul Season 1 Limited Edition Blu-ray. It will now be released on 5th October (one week later than intended.) Earlier today we actually posted an unboxing of this release. You can check it out HERE.

~ We released our latest podcast yesterday (SEE HERE) which includes discussion on Sword Art Online II: Part 1 (including comments on the reaction to the product following its release), Tokyo Ghoul Season 1 Limited Edition Blu-ray (including why it is now being released one week later than planned), MCM Glasgow Comic Con this weekend and so much more! It’s a bumper 90 minute edition of the programme.

~ MCM Scotland Comic Con is this weekend in Glasgow and Team Anime Limited will be there in full force. First of all, here’s a map of the show floor for you. (Our booth is circled in red.)

IMG_6261Our booth is #441and we will be there all weekend with a plethora of our titles for you to purchase including some limited advanced copies of our Tokyo Ghoul Season 1 Limited Edition Blu-ray set. In addition to this we’ll also have Sword Art Online II: Part 1 on both DVD and Limited Collector’s Edition Blu-ray/DVD, all three parts of Kill la Kill available on Blu-ray and DVD, 009 Re:Cyborg Limited Edition Blu-ray/DVD set, both seasons of Space Dandy Collector’s Edition on DVD and Blu-ray, and much more! You’ll have to swing by our booth to see what’s on offer.

As if that wasn’t enough with every purchase at our booth you will get this (pictured right) Tokyo Ghoul bag! Or if you buy a lot and that bag isn’t big enough, then we can offer one of these (pictured below) Seraph Of The End: Vampire Reign bags from Japan!

The Anime Guests Of Honour, WIT Studio’s Kotomi Deai and Hiroshi Shimizu
Both Kotomi Deai and Hiroshi Shimizu will be taking part in their panel on Saturday (noted in the next section below) but there will be the chance to meet them at two free signing sessions across the weekend. Both will take place in the Guest Signing area (please see floor plan above.) The first will be on Saturday from 16:00-17:00 and the second on Sunday from 13:00-14:00, both in the MCM Signing Area.

Both of these are free signings, so you will not need to pay a penny to get an item signed. If you don’t have anything to bring you with to get signed, fear not as we will signing cards there that they can sign for you!

Panels
We will be involved in three panels across the weekend, all of them in the MCM Theatre (marked in the floor plan above as “MCM Theatre Comic Con” on the left side)

First of all both Andrew and Jeremy will be bringing you the inaugural Scotland Loves Anime panel on Saturday at 12pm where they’ll be discussing the upcoming Glasgow and Edinburgh film festival and will also have some exciting news to share with you too.

Then the Anime Guests Of Honour, WIT Studio’s Kotomi Deai and Hiroshi Shimizu, will take to the stage for the traditional Anime Guest Of Honour Panel at 2:30pm also on Saturday. They will be talking about their experience working on the popular series The Rolling Girls, Kotomi Deai was the Director and Hiromi Shimuzu was involved in the design of the motorbikes, and more.

And if that wasn’t enough, on Sunday Andrew and Jeremy will be back with the Anime Limited Panel on Sunday at 12:30pm where they’ll be discussing news relating to Anime Limited from the weekend and will also have more exciting news share.

Announcements
We’ve mentioned that the Scotland Loves Anime and Anime Limited Panels will both have announcements, but those won’t be the only the only times we’ll be announcing things so you’ll need to keep an eye out here on blog and on social media channels for updates! You never there might be an announcement before the event too…

The first 11 episodes of Blood Blockade Battlefront are available to watch at Viewster HERE. The air date for the final episode in Japan has been set as October 3rd. Viewster will be airing the final episode and it should be available shortly after the Japanese broadcast all going well.

REPLACEMENT UPDATE

Durarara!! Limited Edition
The latest round of confirmation messages were sent earlier today. We’re currently waiting on a new delivery of replacement discs, so once we have that the next wave will be sent. If you’ve yet to apply for discs please follow the steps of filling out the survey AND emailing us your proof of purchase. (Simply doing one of the two steps is not enough.)

Kill la Kill Part 1 [for units purchased at MCM London Comic Con in October 2014 only]

As mentioned on the podcast (see details above) we will shortly be launching a replacement scheme for Kill la Kill Part 1. This only applies to units purchased at MCM London Comic Con in October 2014. (Following the event the products general retail release was delayed and the error of the English dub being out of sync by 0.4 seconds during one of the episodes was corrected.) We are planning to have details on how this replacement scheme will be handled within the next week or two. Please keep an eye out for this information.
