~ First of all we want to give a big thank you to everyone who came to visit our booth and/or attended our panel at MCM Manchester Comic Con last weekend. It was great event and it was wonderful speaking to so many passionate anime fans!
The next events we'll be attending will actually be this coming weekend as Team Anime Limited is splitting in two, so to speak, as we'll be at both Nom Con in Ireland and Kitacon in Birmingham. (More details on what you can expect from us at each event in the Upcoming Events section.)

Although the creation of Miku Hatsune has spawned a wealth of merchandise, figurines and video games, it’s easy to forget that her existence came about simply as one of a number of characters designed to promote Yamaha Corporation and Crypton Future Media’s Vocaloid software. Beyond the marketability of its well-known mascots, Vocaloid has created something of a bedroom revolution in the Japanese music industry, offering a powerful and easy-to-use way of adding vocals to your musical creations without having to worry about expensive recording studios or, perhaps more importantly, actually finding a talented vocalist capable of doing your renditions justice.
Since the popularity of Vocaloid (and of course Ms. Hatsune in particular) exploded in 2007, we’ve seen notable musical acts come to prominence, and the opening of an avenue of creativity that has been celebrated across the spectrum of anime, manga and beyond. Perhaps the most fascinating aspect of this growth of budding individuals using Vocaloid as a creative tool has come in recent years, as notable works move beyond mere albums or places in the Project Diva series of video games and actually gain light novel and anime adaptations in their own right.
It’s a small-scale resurrection of music as a story-telling device – a welcome return to the halcyon days of “rock opera” like Tommy and Quadrophenia with great music while that also weaves a compelling narrative into their tunes. Continue Reading
We conclude our slew of announcements from the MCM Manchester Comic Con weekend (in case you missed them you can find our previous announcements HERE and HERE.) with a brand new license announcement! We're happy to reveal that we (Anime Limited) have licensed the series Blood Blockade Battlefront (aka Kekkai Sensen) for the United Kingdom.
Another trippy series from Studio BONES ... this time about a giant, impenetrable bubble over New York City where normal people co-exist with paranormal creatures from other dimensions. Known as Jerusalem's Lot, the bubble is a thriving metropolis full of mystery, monsters, and mayhem. But now, the bubble is facing a threat that could unleash chaos across all dimensions. Enter Leo, a man with a supernatural gift, who runs the Libra Organization, comprised of a gang of super-humans—each with their own unique powers. It will be up to Leo and his ragtag group to save Jerusalem's Lot!
We are happy to confirm we have partnered with Viewster.com to simulcast the series to the United Kingdom & Ireland and the episodes that have aired to date are available to watch right now HERE. In addition to this there will be a home video release from us in the future (TBC 2016.)

It's time for yet more news from MCM Manchester Comic Con this past weekend, this time a new license announcement that sees a popular return to the UK.
New License Announcement - BECK: MONGOLIAN CHOP SQUAD
From Madhouse, the studio who brought you Satoshi Kon's Perfect Blue, Cardcaptor Sakura, Black Lagoon and Death Note comes the series about a group people looking to find fame in the music world.
Tanaka Yukio, better known by his nickname Koyuki is a 14 year old who feels disconnected from life in general. Through the act of saving a mismatched dog, he meets guitarist Minami Ryuusuke, and becomes involved in Ryuusuke's new band BECK. Koyuki's life starts to change as the band struggles towards fame.

We're happy to confirm that we'll be bringing the entire series of Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad as a complete series set to DVD tentatively schedule for November 2015. It will include both the English dub and original Japanese audio with subtitles. (Complete contents and pricing TBC.)
"When it comes to Beck it's had a unique history in the UK" says Andrew Partridge, President of Anime Limited. "It has had a previous DVD release but it wasn't actually ever finished. So we're delighted to be able to bring this great series in its entirety to these shores. There really aren't many anime that cover the concept of forming a band and going to America to try and make it big. This series does it so well that it really is worth checking out. The soundtrack to the series is amazing too."

We're happy to announce that we (Anime Limited) have launched a partnership with Sunrise to bring Gundam titles the to the UK.
New Release Announcement - MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM on Blu-ray
Coming to Blu-ray for the first-time ever in the UK will be the series that started it all when it comes to Gundam, Mobile Suit Gundam. We will be releasing this over two half-season sets on Blu-ray starting with Mobile Suit Gundam: Part 1 (tentative title) in October and followed by the second part soon after. (Final dates and pricing are TBC at this time.) Our release will include both the English dub and original Japanese audio with subtitles.
In the year Universial Century 0079, humanity lives in space colonies called Sides. Side 3, the Principality of Zeon, has declared war on the Earth Federation. After the intial fighting, an 8-month stalemate occured. However that stalemate breaks when Amuro Ray stumbles into the Gundam, the Earth Federation's secret weapon. Now Amuro and the crew of White Base must stand up to Zeon in order to end the war.
