Meet the Anime Limited Team

Well, that's MCM London done for May and it was an utter blast! We had such a great time over the course of the weekend and met some incredible people and some old friends. We even made a whole bunch of new friends too - so we figured it was about time we properly introduced the team here at Anime Limited. These are the guys and gals that work hard to  make sure you get the anime you want to see, be it theatrical releases or home video. So without further ado, ladies and gentlemen, the Anime Limited team!

Andrew

anthony

Those of you who've been on the scene long enough will instantly recognise Andrew Partridge. He is El Presidente of Anime Limited and responsible for getting you all those titles and films you love so much. He is also a ridiculous ball of energy.

Tom

john

If you've been to the most recent MCM Expo, you may recognise Tom from our booth there. He is junior production manager and a wonderful animator. He designed and animated our title card. He's not as grumpy as he likes to portray himself.

Kat

cath

This is Kat. You will also recognise her from MCM Expo as she was working hard on our booth. Kat's a sickly talented graphic artist and also studied animation. She is responsible for all our pretty graphics on the booth and elsewhere. If you were lucky enough to snag one of the limited edition Cowboy Bebop prints, that's an example of her handiwork.

Kerry

karen

I'm the most recent to join the gang here at Anime Limited. I'm responsible for the marketing, PR and other such shenanigans. Bill Hicks once told all marketers to kill themselves, but I'm not so bad. Honest.

And there you have it. Team Anime Limited. I'm sure you'll be getting used to us as we'll be at a lot of the expos, cons, and festivals. See you guys around.

The Anime Limited Booth at MCM

Anime Limited's first jaunt to MCM Comic Con London is off to a great start with a brilliant schedule of events and the gorgeous designs for our booth all done and ready to go. This time around we won't have any of our own stock on sale at our booth, mostly due to the fact that our first run of stock will be Part 1 of Cowboy Bebop Collector's Edition out on Blu-ray in July, so we're a couple months off. However, we will be helping out our friends at Kaze and 101 Anime by selling their stock at our booth! Titles will include the latest parts of your favourite shows so don't miss your chance to catch up.

I can also confirm that we will be able to accept debit and credit cards on the booth! This, I'm sure, will be a welcome relief for a lot of you out there so now you really have no excuse for not going nuts, buying up all the stuff at the booth, right? So what can you get?

Kaze

Kaze's got some pretty sweet titles up for grabs including:

Newest works

  • Bleach Complete Series 10  (£25)
  • Street Fighter 2: The Movie  (£15)
  • Penguin Drum Complete Series Collect  (£20)
  • Tiger & Bunny Part 2 Double Play  (£25)
  • Nura - Rise of the Yokai Clan Season  (£20)
  • Persona 4: The Animation Box 2  (£20)

Fan favourites

  • Code Geass (Season 1 and R2 on Blu-ray)  (£25 each)
  • Journey to Agartha (Collector's Edition and DVD)  (£20 and £10 respectively)
  • Berserk Movie 1 (Collector's Edition and DVD)  (£25)

101 Anime

101 Anime's bringing along many titles including:

  • Elfen Lied  (£25)
  • And much, much more!

So mosey on down to Booth #1003 for a chat and to get your hands on some of the titles listed above.

See you all there.

Shinichiro Watanabe with Anime Limited at MCM

MCM London is just around the corner and we're very happy to be hosting the great Shinichiro Watanabe at the Anime Limited booth! As everything is kicking off later on this week, we thought you might find it helpful to have the final timings and places listed here. These are the final times and have changed from what you may have seen on the MCM Forum - so please take note.  Here you go!

Friday:

  • 4:30pm - 6:30pm at Anime Limited Booth #1003

Saturday:

  • 1:00pm - 2:15pm at Anime Limited Booth #1003

Sunday:

  • 1:00pm - 2:30pm at MyM stand

Please note: despite the fact that Mr. Watanabe will  be taking part in signings for three days, it is highly likely that each of these signing events will be very busy. With the times being so limited, please remember that Mr. Watanabe will be signing one item per person. We would like everyone to have a chance to get items signed hence keeping signings to a minimum. Please think of others and respect fans who are also queuing.

Thanks and see you all there!

009 RE:CYBORG & MULTI PLATFORM RELEASE DATE!

Many of you have been patiently waiting to find out exactly where 009 RE:CYBORG will be screened. As 009 is highly anticipated viewing, not least for it’s breathtaking visuals and 3D effects, there have been many, many enquiries about local listings. Well the wait is over, we’ve got a finalised list of where, when and how you can watch 009 RE:CYBORG as well as details on its multi-platform release!

What does multi platform mean?

You've likely seen some live action films primarily doing this but we believe that being able to see the film, legally and easily is important.  Of course we're big promoters of seeing a film on the big screen where it belongs but it's also pretty tricky on a first film project to get coverage that leaves everyone with a screen within easy reach.

This means we'll be making use of the nifty technology that www.distrify.com have created to allow people to enjoy the film in 2D streaming from the day it comes out on its limited theatrical release!  More on that shortly!

So how can I watch it?

1. Cinema screenings

The following cinemas will be showing 009 RE:CYBORG in 3D (some will have 2D screenings as well). The cinema listings have been split into Scotland and England in order to find your nearest screening easily. We’ve also included the links to the cinemas for more information.

Scotland

Edinburgh Filmhouse - June 7th - 10th in 2D and 3D (link)

We have another venue we're awaiting their booking before we confirm so far too!

England

- London - Hackney Picturehouse June 7th, 8th (link)
- London - Ritzy Picturehouse (Brixton) June 7th, 8th (link)
- London - Stratford East (Stratford) June 13th (link)
- Liverpool - FACT June 22 (link)

Don't see it somewhere you'd like to?  Let us know and if there's enough demand we'll do our best to add it to a cinema near you!

2. Digital

On day of launch - it'll be available for streaming via distrify - which you can embed anywhere and more importantly is you make 10% of the profits from anyone who pays to stream the film through your share of it!  We'll have that up on the hub page at www.alltheanime.com/cyborg on June 7th!

We'll also have the film up for order on iTunes rental (Download-to-Own will start from September 1st onwards) and FilmFlex into July too - so you'll be able to support the film over a range of different platforms.  Don't worry too - we'll be looking to schedule the film into more cinemas in 3D over the next month too!  If you want it somewhere specific - let us know and well do our best!

Check back soon for more information

More information to come shortly - keep an eye on our hub site -  www.alltheanime.com/cyborg for more information!  In the meantime - here's a snap of our theatrical poster for the film - like what you see?

Anime Limited’s Big MCM London Debut

MCM London is just around the corner and we hope you’re looking forward to it as much as we are. This year looks very promising and there’s so much going on. With all the noise and excitement building up we figured it was a good time to lay out our plans for MCM London May 2013.

Where will we be?

Anime Limited will be set up at Booth #1003 - just over from the main stage so stop by and say hello!

What are we up to?

There are quite a few things going on at our booth this year, including the following:

  • Anime Limited will be partnering up with our friends at Kaze in order to bring you the latest in their and 101 Anime’s DVD offerings. The titles will include the latest parts of your favourite shows so make sure you stop by and catch up!
  • Shinichiro Watanabe will be there! As you’ve all heard, Cowboy Bebop director and overlord Shinichiro Watanabe will be signing stuff at our booth once a day during the expo for an hour a day. Mr. Watanabe will be signing one piece per person, so please don’t bring everything you own and thus, weigh yourself down with possessions and disappointment.
  • Anime Limited’s booth will come complete with a gorgeous panel dedicated to Cowboy Bebop (I’ve seen the designs, they're pretty). So come along and have a look, feel free to take pictures, pose with it or what have you. If you do take pictures with our panel, don’t forget to share them with us on our Facebook page! (www.facebook.com/alltheanime)
  • New title announcements! Yep, that’s right we’ve got several new title announcements to make at MCM London so make sure you pay special attention on the Saturday and Sunday. We will also be posting these announcements online so if you’re not there live, you won’t miss out.
  • Finally, the big one everyone’s looking forward to: Shinichiro Watanabe will be taking part in a series of panels at MCM London on the Friday and Saturday. Make sure you make time to attend as they will definitely be one of the most sought after events of the conference.

We’ll be posting times and places for the signings and panels soon, so keep an eye out for more announcements.

So that’s it for now! We’ve got a busy couple of weeks ahead of us but it’s going to be fun. Come by and say hello, check out our booth and feel free to share your experiences with the world, or at least the conference. Whether or not you’re at MCM London, you can still find out what’s happening by following our Twitter account and Facebook page.

See you all there!

Kerry (Marketing)
