Assassination Classroom Season 1 Part 1 arrives 30th May

Assassination Classroom is a title we know a lot of you have been excited to hear details about and today we can confirm that our Season 1 Part 1 release is due to arrive on 30th May! (Yes, under a month away.)

About Assassination Classroom

Synopsis: Forget about homework and pop quizzes. The students of Class 3E have a far more important assignment: kill their teacher before the end of the year! A tentacle-d sensei that moves at Mach 20 is out to conquer the classroom after destroying seventy percent of the moon. In addition to reading, writing, and arithmetic, the murderous monster behind the lectern will teach his students everything he knows about the assassination game. Should some eager beaver prove to be a quick study in killing, he or she will save Earth from extinction – and collect a hefty reward.

But they’d better take some serious notes while class is in session because their slaughtering sensei has eight deadly tentacles just waiting to wreak havoc on humanity!

We’ll be releasing this as a Limited Edition Collector’s Blu-ray set and as a standard DVD. In terms of on-disc content we can confirm that our release on both formats will include:

• Episodes 1-11 with both the English language dub and original Japanese audio with subtitles.
• Episodes commentaries for episodes 1 & 7
• The episode 0 OVA “Meeting Time”
• An interview with the cast
• Clean Opening and Closing title sequences
• Previews for the show

Our Limited Collector’s Edition set will come packed in a rigid box that will also have space to put Part 2 (sold separately, being released later this year) inside, being released later this year. Inside the box you will find an amaray case that will have the two Blu-ray discs. In addition to that there will also be some art cards and a Kunugigaoka Academy Student Handbook & Student Diary.
