Our next announcement from the MCM Scotland Comic Con weekend concerns two properties of a particular franchise, K. Today we (Anime Limited) are happy to announce that we have licensed the movie K: Missing Kings, the follow-up film the first Season of the ‘K’ project, and it’s sequel series K: Return Of Kings.

“The K project is a franchise that I’ve always admired for how beautifully animated it is” says Andrew Partridge, President of Anime Limited. “In my opinion it stands out from the pack in that department. It’s story is very interesting as well. I was really happy when it was released on Blu-ray/DVD in 2014 but I’ll admit it was a little concerned when there was seemingly no news of K: Missing Kings coming to the UK following that. However an opportunity presented itself and I couldn’t resist given how much I like the K Project. I’m really excited to see what we can do for our releases of both the Missing Kings movie and the Return Of Kings series. I hope people give it a shot if they haven’t already sampled the franchise.”
We can confirm that the movie, K: Missing Kings, will be receiving a Blu-ray and DVD release in 2016.
K: Return of Kings will be simulcasting to UK/Ireland, more details on this follow soon. It will then have a home video release in the future, we expect in 2016.
You can watch a preview for both below.
K: Missing Kings preview
K: Missing Kings synopsis: Based on the hit anime K, K MISSING KINGS picks up where the series left off. Featuring the same director and scriptwriter as the series, this movie brings the characters that you’ve grown to love in the same spirit of action, honor, and loyalty. K MISSING KINGS also sees the return of popular voice actors such as Daisuke Namikawa, Daisuke Ono, and Tomokazu Sugita, reprising their roles for the first time on the big screen.
The story starts some time after the Island Academy Incident, in which four of the seven great Kings crossed paths. Since this time, silver clansmen Kuroh Yatogami and Neko have been searching for their master, Yashiro Isana, the Silver King. Their search having turned up fruitless, the two begin to give up hope, until they encounter Anna Kushina and Rikio Kamamoto, two members of the red clan HOMRA being chased by someone.
K: Return Of Kings preview
K: Returns of Kings synopsis: In modern Japan, where history has strangely overlapped with reality. There, seven “Kings” with great superpowers existed. Along with their clansman to whom they shared their own power with, the kings each formed clans. Order bound by blue, red flames that cause chaos, irregularities that shine in white, and reforms branched off into green. The Kings, each with their own abilities, now…
The Blue King Reisi Munakata, the leader of the Blue Clan “Scepter 4,” held great responsibilities on his back. The tower that Gold King Daikaku Kokujōji supervised called the Dresden Slate was still on his mind, and he felt a great burden by killing the previous Red King, Mikoto Suoh.
On the other hand, the former Red Clan “Homra” clansman Anna Kushina experienced the attacks from the green clan “jungle” and awakened as the next Red King. By doing this, she bound her comrades through a strong bond once again.
Finally, White clansmen Neko and Kuroh believe that the White King Yashiro is still alive, and seek his whereabouts. However, it was not just them searching for the White King. The Green King Nagare Hisui once again…
With “jungle” once again jumping back into action, the fates of the various Kings are brought together.
Signing out~!
