Another month has slipped by, and we’re already seeing the odd Pumpkin Spice Latte crop up in the office to let you know that we’re moving into the autumn.
But you don’t care about what we’re drinking in the office, you want new releases! So allow me to set down my mug of tea (it’s an Evangelion mug, just so you know) and walk you through what you can expect from us this September.
Before that though, this is the bit where I mention that it’s another exciting month in the cinema here at Anime Limited, as we see another incredible film hitting the big screen.
INU-OH, the incredible masterpiece from beloved auteur director Masaaki Yuasa, arrives on September 28th – this insane historical rock opera has to be seen to be believed, so don’t miss it at a cinema near you!
Now, with that said and done, let’s get to our home video slate for the coming month!
New September pre-orders
Thanks to the 1st of September falling on a Thursday, our first pre-order for the month is already up and running, so let’s begin with that before unveiling what else we have on the cards this month!
The Relative Worlds Collector’s Edition
From upcoming director Yuhei Sakuragi and innovative CG studio CRAFTAR comes The Relative Worlds, a tale of love, death, robots and parallel worlds.
Our Collector’s Edition of the film sports a rigid slipcase, within which you’ll find an Amaray containing the movie on both Blu-ray and DVD, plus a 12-page booklet containing an interview with Yuhei Sakuragi himself, as he talks about his career so far working with Evangelion and, most notably of all, his work alongside Studio Ghibli’s Hayao Miyazaki. You’ll be able to hear even more from Mr. Sakuragi on the disc, as we feature an interview recorded at Scotland Loves Anime in our home turf of Glasgow!
Add in a set of four art cards and a poster, and you’re all set to enjoy the film!

Summer Ghost Collector’s Edition
One of the most exciting films we’ve seen in quite a while is Summer Ghost, the directorial debut of the talented loundraw which serves as a beautiful and poignant indicator of his burgeoning talent… and now you too can take a trip into the emotionally ethereal with our Collector’s Edition release!
Our Collector’s Edition contains the film on both DVD and Blu-ray, with the DVD including a full-length Making of documentary, To You Before Dawn, a feature animatic, and an interview with director loundraw.
These discs come packed inside a Digipak, which it itself housed in a rigid slip case. But that’s not all, as you’ll also find included a poster, a series of four art cards, and a 28-page booklet packed with character information, interviews and a deep-dive into loundraw’s direction of the film. Love Me, Love Me Not Collector’s Edition
We really are focused on film this September (let’s call it…. Silver Screen September… I should work in marketing), and here’s one you might not be expecting. Are you ready for some romance, brought to you by the talents at A-1 Pictures?
Based on an award-winning manga of the same name, Love Me, Love Me Not is a tale of two girls with a very different viewpoints on love – Yuna lives her life in an idealistic world where she imagines the romance of being swept away by a charming and beautiful “prince”, while Akari is far more practical about how she sees love. Of course, it isn’t just girls that have their own perspectives, and their relationships with Kazuomi and Rio might just change their viewpoints on love in ways they would previously never have imagined.
