Vampire in the Garden: Feature Supercut
An original series from Wit Studio, Vampire in the Garden made its debut on Netflix in May of 2022 as a five-episode series. Now, in conjunction with the Glasgow Film Theatre, on Friday November 3rd from 5:10PM you’ll be able to see the story as you’ve never experienced it before, with this “Feature Supercut” special screening for the first time outside of Japan.
This edition of the film isn’t just the series in the cinema – the entire series is woven together into one seamless viewing experience, coupled with the full original 5.1 surround audio track to back up that big screen immersion. This edition also features restored textless sequences not present in the streaming presentation, to give you an unadulterated version of this intense and moving tale that you won’t want to miss.
Plus, as mentioned above, we’ll also have Ryotaro Makihara, the director of Vampire in the Garden, in attendance, where he’ll be both introducing the screening and sitting down for a Q&A session to discuss his work after – an exciting opportunity to explore the mind and work of a talented and award-winning director.
All in all, it’s all set to be a top-notch experience for anime fans, so if you’re in the Glasgow area (as doubtless many of you will be over this specific weekend) and want a post-Halloween treat then be sure to book your tickets now!
About Vampire in the Garden
A vampire queen and a human girl join forces against all odds in search of the “Garden Eden” – a place where humans and vampires can live together in peace.
It’s been a long winter for mankind, overthrown from its place of dominance after being defeated in the great war against vampires. A small city-state protected by a massive wall of light has become one of the last strongholds of the human race -its leaders determined to regain control over the world they have lost. Tired with the oppressive life inside the city walls, young Momo dreams of a peaceful coexistence with humans’ greatest foe. On the other side, vampire queen Fine, who once loved a human, has decided to desert the battlefield. Seen as traitors by their own kind, the two have a fateful encounter during yet another savage battle. Together they start a journey in search of “Eden,” a utopic garden of peace that old stories are whispering about, but no-one has ever seen.
