‘Your Name’ Cinema Update – 17th October 2016

Hi everyone! It’s been a big weekend for Your Name. In Japan the film is now on the cusp of matching the Japanese box-office record set by the Studio Ghibli film Ponyo. If that wasn’t enough, Your Name received its UK Premiere at the world renowned London Film Festival this past weekend! Director Makoto Shinkai was in attendance to celebrate the film being the first-ever animated film to be in competition at the festival! And now following this history making weekend we are moving full steam ahead to November!

Since we announced we had licensed the new Makoto Shinkai film ‘Your Name’ and revealed it will be having exclusive cinema screenings in UK & Ireland in November, a recurring question we’ve had is “which cinemas will be screening the original subtitled version and which will be screening the English dubbed version?”

Today the wait is over for an answer on that! We can now tell exactly which cinemas will be showing the film in which language. We can also confirm there have been some new locations have been added as well, with Odeon cinemas now screening the film too!
