Last Wednesday, we revealed some massive news from the launch of the Glasgow Film Festival, where we unveiled our plans to host the International Premiere of Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms at the festival prior to the film receiving a full theatrical release across the UK and Ireland later in March 2018. However, that’s not all we have to offer at this year’s Glasgow Film Festival, as we’re also bringing a unique event to Scotland during the course of the festival, the likes of which anime fans have never seen before.

With the third season of Attack on Titan on the horizon later this year, and the second season hitting the UK on home video from our friends at Funimation Entertainment in conjunctions with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, we wanted to bring you a big screen event like no other that is an absolute must for fans of the series!

Let’s start with the simple part: Anime Limited will be bringing the latest recap film from the smash-hit franchise, Attack on Titan: The Roar of Awakening, to the big screen on February 21st March 2018, allowing you to relieve the twists, turns and shocking revelations of the show’s second season with the full splendour of a big screen audio and video presentation in selected cinemas across the UK. You can currently book tickets to these screenings from the AllTheAnime.com cinema page.

But that’s not all! On Thursday, 1st March 2018, we’ll be presenting a very special screening of The Roar of Awakening in conjunction with the Glasgow Film Festival – not in a cinema, but at a top-secret Scottish location as part of an exclusive “Secret Cinema”-style event. Needless to say, the location we’ve chosen is a decidedly appropriate one that will make you feel like one of the Scout Regiment yourself, with drinks on-hand and a bag of free gifts for each and every attendee before the screening of the film.

Attendees will be collected and transported to the event from outside of the Glasgow Film Theatre at 5:30PM on the day, and returned to the same location by coach after the event has finished. You can find a full FAQ for the event with further details on the Glasgow Film Festival web site. Please note that the screening itself will be presented with Japanese audio and English subtitles.

Places at this unique event are very limited, with only 120 tickets available, so book early to avoid disappointment using the link below!
