As has been previously mentioned, by the time MCM London Comic Con back in May came to a close it was discovered there was an issue with the rigid case component specific to the copies of Kill la Kill Part 3 that we had available during the event. (Despite the fact the sample we had signed off on before going into production being fine.) So we quarantined all other finished copies in our production house and made the decision to delay the general release of this until 29th June so the problem could be fixed.

We’re happy to say we have an update on this as we now have the first wave of replacement rigid cases and these will be getting sent out next week!

We know some people expressed difficulty in being able to remove the digpack and book from the “tight” rigid case included with MCM copies, so we wanted to show what we feel is the best and most effective method for getting them out. Please see the video below.

How to remove the Digipack & Book from the “tight” rigid case

Pretty simple, right? So now the part you’ve been waiting for, the repalcement rigid case. It looks identical to the original, but is ever so slightly larger to accommodate the digipack and book. As you can see in the video below, it’s super easy to remove the digipack and book once it’s in there.

And there you have it, all is good and best of all (and to disperse any worries that there may be on this subject) the small size change to this rigid case does not affect all 3 parts fitting into the collector’s box whatsoever.

As mentioned those who applied for replacement rigid cases can expect them to be on their way over the next few weeks with the first wave being sent next week. For those of you waiting for the general release, you’ll never have known this even happened 🙂

Signing out~!
