April 15, 2026 · 1 comment
We know things have been rather quiet on the newswire front recently – but fear not, things are ramping here at Anime Limited towers, and although we still have a number of big projects in various stages of completion on the go, once our Spring Sale comes to a close (don’t miss out before it ends on the 17th of April!) we’ll be straight back to it with some exciting new pre-order releases!
So, wasting no time, let’s get cracking and talk you through the rest of April and then onwards into the start of May.

Take our hand and let’s go!
NARUTO Shippuden Volume 4
Of course, it goes without saying that the epic train that is NARUTO just keeps on rolling, and you can continue to build your collection of the adventures of the world’s favourite ninja with volume 4 of the series!

They each have the terrifying power to defy death! And just when the battle has reached a fevered pitch, Naruto jumps into the fray!“

Volume four of the series contains episodes 76-100 across four Blu-ray discs, and hits retail shelves on 25th May.

Colorful Stage! The Movie: A Miku Who Can’t Sing Collector’s Edition
Ever since we released the sensational big screen debut of Miku Hatsune in cinemas last summer, we’ve heard from so many of you who can’t wait to get your hands on a home video release to enjoy the film again (and again… and again) in the comfort of your own home. Well, at last we can now deliver, with Colorful Stage! The Movie: A Miku Who Can’t Sing coming soon to Collector’s Edition Blu-ray!
“COLORFUL STAGE! The Movie: A Miku Who Can’t Sing is an animation film by studio P.A.WORKS featuring an all-new Hatsune Miku and the first film with the iconic Virtual Singer. Based on HATSUNE MIKU: COLORFUL STAGE!, a game about high school students finding their true feelings through music in an alternate world called “SEKAI” with the help of Hatsune Miku.
Ichika is a high school musician who can enter a mysterious place called “SEKAI,” where she and her friends express their innermost emotions through music alongside Hatsune Miku. One day after giving a live performance, Ichika meets a new Miku that she has never seen before. No matter how hard this new Miku tries to sing, she struggles connecting with the hearts of her listeners. Miku must rely on the help of others to find a way to sing again.”

The centrepiece of our Collector’s Edition is of course the beautiful slipcase artwork – within that outer case you’ll find an Amaray with no less than three discs! As well as the film on both Blu-ray and DVD, we also have an additional bonus Blu-ray packed with extras, with our full slate of Blu-ray extras consisting of an audio commentary for the film, a series of 20 After Show Concerts, Unit 2D Music Videos, a creditless opening, teasers and trailers.
Alongside that you’ll also find a 16-page booklet packed with key animation artwork from the film covering all of its main cast, and also a series of five character art cards to round things out.

You can see the slipcase in full above – the film is of course also coming to Standard Edition Blu-ray and DVD, which you can see below.

The film comes to the UK on home video on Monday, May 25th, and pre-orders open at our online store on Thursday, 30th April.

Undead Unluck Part 1 Collector’s Edition
If you’re a fan of madcap anime adventures like Kill la Kill, then today is your lucky day! No, wait…. today is your unlucky day! (I work in marketing, am I allowed to write that?)
Anyway, we announced this a little while back, but we’re very excited to finally unveil our release of Undead Unluck, David Productions’ eye-popping and kinetic adaptation of the madcap supernatural action adventure manga from the Shonen Jump stable. If you didn’t spot it while it was streaming, then this is a great chance to catch up on what you missed and nab this hidden gem.
(Also, the protagonist of the show is named Andy – I mean, what’s not to like about that?…)
“Andy, a Negator with the ability “Undead”, has been long in search for someone with the ability to give him a ‘real death’. Fuko Izumo brings misfortune to those around her due to her ability “Unluck”. The two decide to join the Union, an organization which aims to control and protect the world from unidentified phenomena. The two uncover the mystery of the world as they search for the “greatest death ever”.”

Given the show’s striking visuals, you won’t be surprised to see that we’ve had a ball with this release and its bold aesthetics, to make sure it looks great on your shelf!
First up, you’ll note that we’re offering up a storage box to hold the complete series here – we know this is something you all love, so you’ll be all set for the release of Part 2! Within that storage box you’ll find the regular rigid slipcase which holds part one of the series, and inside that an Amaray which holds the two Blu-ray discs which comprise episodes 1-12 of the show, with both English and Japanese audio with English subtitles.
Rounding things off is a 24-page booklet filled with character bios and design artwork, plus a glossary of the show’s important terms, concepts and powers, and a deep dive into the animation work for some of the show’s key scenes complete with comments from the series’ director.

Having waxed lyrical about the visuals, it would be remiss of me not to show you both side of the Part 1 slipcase, which you can see above. Then there’s the storage box, which you can take a peek at in all of its glory below.

Part 1 of Undead Unluck releases in the UK on May 18th, and our Early Bird pre-orders for Part 1 open on Thursday May 7th. So set a reminder and don’t miss out!

Now, before we close this section, I know some of you (understandably) worry about incomplete series on your shelf; so that you can rest assured that this series will be completed rapidly, we can confirm that pre-orders for Part 2 will likely open early in June, and we can even give you a sneak peek as to the contents below!

Keep your eyes peeled for the full details in our next Newswire!
Labyrinth Steelbook / Labyrinth Collector’s Edition
You might have heard on the grapevine that we’ll releasing the classic Jim Henson film Labyrinth on 4K UHD Blu-ray in the UK… and it’s true! So if you had “Anime Limited works on a David Bowie film” on your bingo card then congratulations!
“From visionary filmmaker Jim Henson comes the unforgettable fantasy of a 16-year-old girl (Academy Award® winner Jennifer Connelly) who’s been given only 13 hours to traverse a dangerous and wonderful labyrinth to rescue her baby brother after her wish for him to be taken away is granted by the Goblin King, played by the iconic David Bowie.”

We’ll be releasing the film as both a three-disc Steelbook containing film on 4K UHD Blu-ray, the film on Blu-ray, and a Blu-ray disc of video extras.
For the true Labyrinth lovers, we’ll also be releasing a 4K Collector’s Edition which contains the same Steelbook edition and disc contents, but also features a rigid slipcase and a 64-page production art and photo booklet. You can check out an early peek of how we’re expecting that to look below!

Standard Editions (DVD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD) will all follow later in the year.
Both editions will be available retail-wide, with a release date of 22nd June – pre-orders open at our own web store on Thursday 14th May!

The Dark Crystal Steelbook / The Dark Crystal Collector’s Edition
Of course, you can’t release one Jim Henson masterpiece without also releasing the other… so naturally we’re releasing The Dark Crystal too!
“In another world, another time, The Crystal of Truth – a source of Balance in the Universe – was shattered, becoming The Dark Crystal, and was ruled by the wicked Skeksis as they poisoned the world. Now, as the convergence of the three suns approaches, the Crystal must be healed, or darkness will reign forevermore! It’s up to Jen and Kira — the last of their race — to fulfill the prophecy that a Gelfling will return the missing shard to the Crystal and destroy the Skeksis’ evil empire. But will their courage be any match for the unknown dangers that await them? Revisit this masterful fantasy epic from the brilliant imagination of Jim Henson.“

Just like Labyrinth, you can choose from a three-disc Steelbook containing film on 4K UHD Blu-ray, the film on Blu-ray, and a Blu-ray disc of video extras, or a 4K Collector’s Edition which contains the same Steelbook edition and disc contents, but also features a rigid slipcase and a 64-page production art and photo booklet. Again, standard editions will follow later in the year.

Both editions of The Dark Crystal will also be available retail-wide, with the same release date of 22nd June – pre-orders at AllTheAnime.com also open on Thursday 14th May!

That little list takes us well into May, which is where the waiting game begins for us once again – we have a lot of great releases that are so close to being ready to unveil but not quite over the line yet, so we’re hoping that we can talk about BLEACH, Gundam SEED FREEDOM, the second season of Dangers in my Heart and more soon! We will of course keep you updated, so watch this space for future newswires!

Is the Undead Unluck Blu-ray English [CC]? I remember there being closed captions on the Disney release of Undead Unluck.
