It’s also another exciting month for anime in the cinema, as the charming, tear-jerking Fortune Favors Lady Nikuko arrives on the big screen in selected cinemas on 10th August. The film was a real hit last year at Scotland Loves Anime, and we’re sure a lot of you will love this outing from the director of Children of the Sea and Komi Can’t Communicate.
This isn’t even the only film we’re bringing to UK cinemas this year, but you’re free to speculate what we’re planning for the very end of August…

With our summer sale taking up the lion’s share of our mindspace this August, we’re keeping things rather svelte for the month in terms of completely new titles, but we still have plans afoot for some new additions to our (and your!) collection, with plenty more in the pipeline as we move into the autumn and beyond as always of course.
Blood-C Limited Edition
After a handful of unforeseen hold-ups with our Ultimate Edition (making a product of such size and scope is hard, y’know!), that stunning and definitive edition of Production I.G’s twisting, turning, eye-catching Blood-C is now on the brink of being complete.
However, we know that plenty of you prefer a slightly less bombastic version of some of our titles, and so we present to you our Blood-C Complete Series Limited Edition!
This Limited Edition set sports the same beautiful artwork as our Ultimate Edition, but in our more traditional Collector’s Edition packaging form. This rigid slipcase, holds two Amaray cases within – one housing the TV series, the other the movie.
You’ll be able to pre-order this item – or grab another chance to nab our Ultimate Edition at a special price – on the 18th of August.

New vinyl release
We’re still waiting for the final sign-off, but we’re hoping to have news of a much-anticipated vinyl release to close out August. Stay tuned as we’ll have news as soon as that date is confirmed!
