NEWSWIRE: August 2026 Pre-Orders

August 5, 2026 · 3 comments

The summer is drawing to a close, and we’re starting to think about going back to school… or at least having those weird dreams/nightmares you still have even as an adult where you have to go back to school. Anyway, not everything about the prospect of Back to School is bad – for example, there’s our Back to School Sale!

Yes, that was our not-so-subtle way of giving you an early notice that our Back to School sale period will return to our AllTheAnime.com store this year, running from Friday 4th to Monday 14th September! You can expect all of the usual great bargains – Buy One Get One Free deals, offers on Collector’s Editions, Early Bird Redux pricing for example – plus this time around we’ve been working out some mind-blowing deep discounts on items for you too, so look out for some even more ludicrous BOGOF and Collector’s Edition pricing into the bargain too! We’ll be sure to remind you next month too, but be sure to put this one in your diary.

With all of that said, on to another month of new pre-orders – let’s see what August has in store for you, shall we?

Her Blue Sky Collector’s Edition

We’re taking a wee summer holiday for the first week of August, before we return with a new Early Bird for the 13th of the month. All of us here at Anime Limited are huge fans of the “Super Peace Busters” creative team, the collective name for director Tatsuyuki Nagai, writer Mari Okada and character designer Masayoshi Tanaka responsible for titles including Toradora, Anthem of the Heart, AnoHana…. and this, the wonderful Her Blue Sky, that we’re thrilled to be bringing not just to Blu-ray, but also 4K UHD Blu-ray too!

“Second-year high school student Aoi Aioi is an aspiring musician. Her older sister Akane’s ex-boyfriend Shinnosuke Kanomura is a struggling guitarist. Aoi and Akane’s parents passed away in an accident 13 years ago, and Akane gave up her ambition of going to Tokyo with Shinnosuke to take care of Aoi. Since then, Aoi has felt indebted to her older sister.

One day, she is invited to perform at a music festival as a session musician by a famous en singer named Dankichi. At the same time, Shinnosuke returns to Aoi and Akane’s town after a long time away. Then, Shinno mysteriously appears- who is actually Shinnosuke from 13 years ago after traveling from the past to the present-and Aoi falls in love for the first time.”

Our Collector’s Edition release of the film contains the movie on every format (currently) known to man, with 4K UHD, regular Blu-ray and DVD versions all included here, with the film itself sporting Japanese and English audio with English subtitles.

We’ve pulled together a wealth of extras for this one too – inside the rigid slipcase you’ll find a Digipak to store those three discs, together with a set of 5 art cards, one of which is serialised, a double-sided A3 poster, and lastly a 40-page booklet, featuring interviews with the “Super Peace Busters” themselves as well as music and art direction interviews, plus character, song and instrument focuses as a perfect accompaniment to a wonderful film.

While we’ve opted to use the Japanese logo for aesthetic reasons here, we’ve also added a J-card to provide an English language logo to the front of the case, as you can see above.

Standard Edition Blu-ray and DVD editions also go on sale at the same time as this set from all of the usual retailers – a 4K UHD Blu-ray Standard Edition will follow in the future (likely next year).

Pre-orders for this release open on Thursday 13th August at 5PM – if you’re a fan of any of the other “Super Peace Busters” titles we mentioned, then you absolutely can’t miss this one!

NARUTO Shippuden – Volume 7

To round out the month we have, of course, another volume of Naruto Shippuden to keep your collection of this beloved series building!

Jiraiya’s fate weighs heavily on Naruto’s young heart, but his sorrow turns to determination as he tries to solve Jiraiya’s mysterious message. Then the unthinkable happens – the godlike Pain passes through the Leaf’s defences and attacks the village directly!

Of course, this volume will slot neatly into your shiny new Collector’s Edition Set 2 – this volume comprises episodes 151-175 across four Blu-ray discs, featuring English and Japanese audio with English subtitles.

We’ll be opening pre-orders for Part 7 on Thursday August 20th at 5PM UK time, with a release date of 19th October.

Of course, look our for more parts of the series to grow your collection over the coming months!

That’s another month in the books here (although as you might have noticed we still have some space at the end of the month, so let’s see if we’re able to sneak any surprises in there…) – as ever, there’s a lot currently in motion in the background that we’ll share more on once we have it!

Some current “are we there yet?” projects that we would like to touch on briefly includes the remaining volumes of BLEACH, which are well underway and just undergoing approvals currently, and OSHI NO KO, which we’re also hard at work on and hope to have more news on soon. We’re also working towards stacking up all of our remaining InuYasha releases so that we can release them on a regular schedule, and continuing to progress major projects including Macross Frontier and Blood+. That’s the tip of the iceberg of course, so stay tuned for our usual updates on new titles and new pre-orders over the coming months!

Until next time, take care.

Lovely to see Her Blu Sky getting a physical release. It’s always nice when these Netflix movies aren’t simply stuck on a streaming service forever. Also, Inuyasha mention! Very excited.
