February 15, 2021 · 4 comments

[Editor update, 26/02/2021 – AllTheAnime.com pre-order launch date has been changed to 26th March. The information below has been updated to reflect that. The actual release dates mentioned remain unchanged.]

Since we first announced we would be bringing the Persona5 The Animation series to Blu-ray, many of you have been clamouring to details on when you could expect it to arrive.

This excitement was fuelled further when we released the standalone The Day Breakers OVA on Blu-ray last year.

Well, today your patience has been rewarded as we’re excited to reveal what to expect from our Blu-ray release – and when you can put down your pre-order too!

So, some important details up front: The series is being released over two volumes total with Part 1 arriving 12th April 2021, and Part 2 following up on 10th May 2021.

It’s being released over two Collector’s Edition sets total, with both volumes able to fit nicely inside a special storage box that comes with Part 1 specifically, so you can store the entire series together on your shelf when you have both volumes.

And when we launch pre-orders at our AllTheAnime shop, we’ll be having a special bundle offer for both volumes too. (More in that in a few moments.)

Additional Note: What is “SRP” ?

The SRP (*Suggested retail price) listed is the maximum price a retailer could charge for the product. However, once retailers factor in their own discounts – including our own shop (see the listing links below) – the regular price will be cheaper.

If Persona 5 the Animation sells well for you guys any chance you'll pick up Episodes 27 & 28(OVAS)? Completely understand why they weren't included as they came out months after the two double length episodes(And werent in the US or AU releases), but for you know, completionists sake try and get them?

Why did you delete my comment asking if you'll acquire Episodes 27 & 28? You do realize that most people who follow you on twitter/social media know these episodes are missing from your release right? So censoring a legitimate question is ridiculous, I wasn't rude or anything. I've always been respectful when commenting here.

Episodes 27 (Dark Sun...) & 28 (Stars and Ours) are included in this release, as stated above: "Part 2 includes the rest of the series, episodes 16-26, plus the two Specials SP 1: Dark Sun… & SP 2: Stars and Ours" What doesn't look like is included with this release are episodes 0 (The Day Breakers), which has a standalone release, OVA-1 (Proof of Justice) and OVA-2 (A Magical Valentine's Day).

Hi Matthew, honestly, we didn't. Your comment got flagged by our system for some reason. (I've just rectified that at time of writing, for reference, so it should be appearing now.) To answer your question, those are completely separate licenses, so it wasn't possible to include those, however the two specials are included. Hope that helps.
