Anime Limited brings SAKAMOTO DAYS to Blu-ray from this September

We teased this during our reveal of our DAN DA DAN Season 2 plans last week, and here we are with another very exciting announcement for you!
Yes, you read the headline right – we’re bringing the hugely popular NETFLIX series SAKAMOTO DAYS to Blu-ray in both the UK and France, and here in the UK our releases begin this September, with pre-orders opening in July.

SAKAMOTO DAYS
If you’re not entirely familiar with this action-comedy series, let’s start off with the show’s synopsis to get you up to speed:
The man who was feared by all villains, and revered by all hitmen—one day, fell in love! When Sakamoto met Aoi the convenience store clerk, it was love at first sight; and just like that, he retired. Sakamoto got married, had a daughter, opened a mom-and-pop store in a quiet town, and completely transformed… into a plus size!
To ensure a peaceful life with his beloved family, the legendary ex-hitman takes on a relentless stream of assassin attacks. This action-packed story of the ordinary and extraordinary begins here!
A convenience store as a hub for assassins and hitmen… got it. So, let’s take a look at our first home video release of the show!
SAKAMOTO DAYS – Season 1 Part 1 Collector’s Edition
Given the 22-episode nature of this first season, as you might expect we’ll be splitting this into two parts to make the most of all of the artwork and contents the series has to offer, and here for the first time you can see how our Collector’s Edition Blu-ray release is going to look!
With some effortlessly cool artwork to work with, we’ve created a slick but colourful Collector’s Edition for your shelf, starting out with a gorgeous rigid slipcase. Inside that, you’ll find more artwork in the Amaray case that houses this volume’s two Blu-ray discs and contain episodes 1-11 of the series with both English and Japanese audio with English subtitles.
Beyond that, we have an art card featuring the show’s key visual, a fun sticker sheet so that you can label your most prized possessions with your favourite character to ward away ne’er-do-wells , and last but not least a 20-page booklet filled with character profiles and a gallery of the show’s awesome artwork.

SAKAMOTO DAYS Season 1 Part 1 will be released on Monday, 7th September, and you’ll be able to pre-order our Collector’s Edition at a special Early Bird price for one week once pre-orders open on Thursday, 9th July at 5PM at our AllTheAnime.com store.
SAKAMOTO DAYS – Season 1 Part 1 Standard Edition
We are, of course, also giving the series a Standard Edition Blu-ray release across all good retailers – here’s what to look out for in your store of choice!
You’ll also be able to pre-order this version from our own online store starting July 9th at the link below; this edition boasts the same 7th September release date as the Collector’s Edition.
SAKAMOTO DAYS – Season 1 Part 1 HMV Exclusive Standard Edition
Finally, if you’re looking for something a little bit more eye-catching for your shelf out of your Standard Editions, then we’ve once again partnered up with HMV to offer an exclusive variant available in-store and via their online store. Isn’t she lovely?
Yes, as always, the sticker is removable on this additional bonus O-card, and you’ll be able to find this available from HMV soon, prior to its 7th September release date.
