UK Premiere of “Violet Evergarden: Eternity and Auto Memory Doll” at Glasgow Film Festival

Regarding the UK Premiere of Violet Evergarden at Glasgow Film Festival.We regret to inform everyone that due to current global health & travel concerns, Yui Ishikawa is no longer attending the UK Violet Evergarden premiere this Sunday (1st March) at Glasgow Film Festival.

The two premiere screenings themselves will still be taking place as planned.We apologise for any disappointment, but we thank you for your understanding.

On a slightly brighter note, at the 1st March UK Premiere screening there will be a limited amount of Violet Evergarden goodies for attendees on a first come first served basis.

Violet Evergarden is a series that captured the hearts of fans across the globe when it debuted on Netflix and since then people have been clamouring for more of it along with the chance to own the series – of which our release is very much still in the works; more details to following on that in the coming months. But today we’re here to tell you about a very special event that will be taking place exclusively at the upcoming Glasgow Film Festival.

We’re delighted to announce that we have secured the UK rights for the film Violet Evergarden: Eternity and Auto Memory Doll, a side story that compliments the primary Violet Evergarden series!

What’s more, the upcoming Glasgow Film Festival will be the location for UK Premiere Screenings of the film, with the inaugural screening on 1st March specifically playing host to a very special guest: Yui Ishikawa, the Japanese voice actress of Violet in Violet Evergarden!

Making her first trip to the United Kingdom to celebrate the UK Premiere of the film on 1st March will be Yui Ishikawa, the Japanese voice actor of Violet in Violet Evergarden! She will be taking part in a Q&A session following that screening of the film! You do not want to miss this very unique and rare opportunity!

UK Premiere Screening— Sunday 1st March (8:30pm) @ Glasgow Film Theatre*
*This (1st March) Premiere screening will also feature a Q&A with Yui Ishikawa (Japanese VA of Violet in Violet Evergarden) after the film.

Additional Screening— Monday 2nd March (3:45pm) @ Glasgow Film Theatre

ABOUT YUI ISHIKAWA

Yuu Ishikawa is a well-known voice actress, whose previous anime roles include Misaka Ackerman in Attack on Titan, Reina in Pokémon Origins, and Hinaki Shinjō in Aikatsu. In Violet Evergarden, she plays the role the protagonist, Violet.

This will be her first trip to the United Kingdom!

Do I need to have seen the TV series of Violet Evergarden before this film?
We would strongly recommend watching the series before viewing this film, as it’s reliant on a broad pre-existing knowledge of it. You can watch the series in its entirety on NETFLIX HERE.

Will the Yui Ishikawa Q&A be taking place at both screenings?
No. The Q&A will only be on the UK Premiere Screening on 1st March.

Will there be any signing sessions/meet & greet opportunities with Yui Ishikawa?
No. Due to scheduling this is not something that is able to be offered.

What language will the film be screened in during the Glasgow Film Festival?
Japanese with English subtitles.
