Back in November of last year you may recall that we brought the film from the producer of Your Name, Fireworks, to cinemas across the UK & Ireland. It’s been nearly a year since that theatrical experience but tonight we’re delighted to show you what to expect from our upcoming home video release of the film! Specifically, our Ltd Collector’s Edition Blu-ray/DVD set that will be arriving on 26th November 2018.
That being said, if you’re at the MCM London Comic Con this weekend, you’ll have the chance to add it to you collection nearly one month ahead of its release date as we will have limited quantities available to purchase from our stand (South Hall, Block S2, S400)

ABOUT FIREWORKS
Synopsis: “Production studio Shaft (Madoka Magica, Monogatari) adapts and modernises Fireworks, Should We See It from the Side or the Bottom? – originally a TV special written by Shunji Iwai (The Case of Hana and Alice) – adding sci-fi elements to its tale of teenage life.School children Norimichi, Yuusuke, and Junichi want to know if fireworks look round or flat from the side. They make a plan to find the answer at a fireworks display, while classmate Nazuna schemes to run away with whoever wins a swimming race at the pool.”

WHAT’S INSIDE? WHAT’S ON THE DISCS?
Our release comes packed in a rigid case with a digipack to store the contents and house the Blu-ray and DVD discs. Additionally you’ll find four art cards, a replica of the Japanese theatrical poster and a 32-page booklet that includes character information, Production Notes, a special interview with Shunji Iwai (original creator), Hitoshi Ohne (Screenplay) and Akiyuki Shinbo (Chief Director), and an article by Jonathan Clements (author of Anime: A History).
On the discs themselves you get –
- The film with both English and original Japanese with English subtitles. (Both audio options being 5.1 audio specifically).
- On-disc extras are a featurette that goes behind the scenes with the English cast of the film, and trailers for Fireworks.
