[Unboxing] Outlaw Star Blu-ray

Since we released the remastered version of the series on DVD a regular question we have received is “when’s the Blu-ray out?” Before it’s simply been a case of us only having the DVD rights but on 5th December that changes as we are releasing the first English language Blu-ray release of Outlaw Star anywhere in the world!

ABOUT OUTLAW STAR

Synopsis: Gene Starwind always dreamed of a life as an outlaw and his wish seems to be granted when hired to be bodyguards for the mysterious Hilda. As the job goes from bad to worse, Gene finds himself the proud owner of the galaxy’s most advanced spaceship – the Outlaw Star. Unfortunately for all involved the Outlaw Star is stolen goods and its owners want it back! Along with his partner Jim Hawking as well as the lovely Melfina – Gene must fight his way through pirates, aliens and assassins as he attempts to unravel the secrets of his new spaceship.

We’ve left the subtitles on so you can see how they look with the video. It’s worth noting that a streamed clip such as this can’t replicate the experience of watching the actual Blu-ray disc itself, but certainly gives you a good indication of what to expect. Also worth noting that the video assets used on our release are identical to the Japanese Blu-ray release.

Our release comes packaged in a rigid case with a digipack to hold the four Blu-ray discs. The entire series is included across the four discs in both English and Japanense with English subtitles.

Also included is a 100-page art book focusing on the world of Outlaw Star.

On-disc extras wise, you get the following: Clean Opening and Closing title sequences, Character Design Galleries, Mechanical Design Galleries, Character Color Setting Gallery, TV Commercials and the Pilot Film.
