[UNBOXING] PROMARE

Since we screened it in cinemas late last year, people have been patiently waiting for our home video release of PROMARE, the first animated feature film by Studio Trigger.

Well the time has come because it’s available now as a Blu-ray Ltd. Collector’s Edition set, as well as standard Blu-ray and DVD.

Today we’re here to put the spotlight on the Collector’s Edition set specifically. It’s something we’re incredibly proud of and have already received so much great feedback from fans about it. This post will be unboxing the set for you – scroll down to see the photos!

But before we get to that, we’ll give you a quick introduction to the film, and tell about when we had planned for the set.

PROMARE

The first feature-length film from the acclaimed studio TRIGGER, creators of the hit series KILL la KILL and Little Witch Academia, and director Hiroyuki Imaishi (GURREN LAGANN, KILL la KILL), Promare uses a bold cel-shaded visual style to tell a blistering action-adventure story, and is the spiritual successor to many of director Imaishi’s former works.

Synopsis: Thirty years has passed since the appearance of Burnish, a race of flame-wielding mutant beings, who destroyed half of the world with fire.

When a new group of aggressive mutants calling themselves “Mad Burnish” appears, the epic battle between Galo Thymos, a new member of the anti-Burnish rescue team “Burning Rescue,” and Lio Fotia, the leader of “Mad Burnish” begins.

WHAT’S PLANNED FOR YOUR RELEASE?

Our Collector’s Edition set will come with the film on Blu-ray, along with the CD Soundtrack, a 52-page booklet, a 128-page English script book, a decal sticker and a poster all presented in a rigid case to hold all the contents together.

but we do want to make a note that the stock of the Collector’s Edition version is quickly starting to run low. So we strongly encourage you to order your copy sooner rather than later as we honestly don’t know how long retailers will have stock for.

You get a number of character profiles and art. Here’s a look at the first, focusing on Galo.

There’s also a focus on some of the machinery you’ll see in the film

There are also pages focusing on particular elements of the film.

The first of the interviews in this booklet! This one is with director, Hiroyuki Imaishi.

Next up, an interview with Kazuki Nakashima, who wrote the screenplay

Then an interview with Shigeto Koyama (Character Design)

and an interview with Hiroyuki Sawano who created the music for the film – which you can listen to on the included soundtrack CD!

And the booklet concludes with some promotional art for the film.
