NEWS/GENERAL UPDATES

~ First of all, a quick reminder that our next releases are Kill la Kill Part 3 and Tiger & Bunny: The Rising, both on 29th June. Only a couple of weeks away now.

~ Following us sharing initial visuals of Sword Art Online II: Part 1 Collector’s Edition last week we have a small update on that for you. Below is an updated visual of how the Collector’s Box (that comes with Part 1) will look. The main difference being that in our visual last week there was a black border around it.

We’d also like to take a moment to highlight that the Collector’s Box is strictly limited to the first print run of this title. Now to clarify, no matter where you pre-order Sword Art Online II: Part 1 Collector’s Edition Blu-ray/DVD combi you will receive the Collector’s Box, but there is a strict number of how many will be available following it’s release.

Don’t forget that our release of Sword Art Online II: Part 1 Collector’s Edition can be pre-ordered today from the likes of  Amazon UK, Base.com, Zavvi and our own web shop today.

~ Speaking of visual for our upcoming titles, late last week revealed the initial visual (see below) for our Collector’s Edition Blu-ray version of Tokyo Ghoul, coming in September.

The design is not final and still subject to to approval, but what we’re going with is a rigid case that will have a transparent sleeve (aka an O-Card) over the top. Inside the rigid case will be a digipack holding the two Blu-ray discs plus a booklet that will include translated materials from the Japanese release.

In terms of on-disc content, we’re hoping to be to able to confirm all details soon, but it will include both English language and original Japanese (with subtitles) audio options for all 12 episodes of the series.

~ For those of you interested we recorded and released the latest episode of our podcast late last week. We touched on various topics including the status of titles such as Full Metal Panic and Escaflowne, how out-of-print titles affect the industry and of course Kerry’s love for Space Dandy Season 2. ~ Speaking of the Podcast, we touched on the fact that Sword Art Online II: Part 1 is progressing nicely and wanted to highlight the fact that we have had a white sample – a blank sample version of the product in question – and we’re very happy with how it’s shaping up. We haven’t touched on a particular detail relating to it yet, but something we’ve implemented looks like it’s going to turn our very nice!

~ QC’ing for Space Dandy Season 2 has been completed and signed off, so it is literally a case of waiting for final approval on artwork now for us to go into into the final stages of production.

~ We’re hoping to be getting a finished sample of our Tiger & Bunny: The Rising release this week, so all going well we’ll be able to share an unboxing of it for you!

The next wave of replacements are being sent later this week, tomorrow (Wednesday) specifically. This includes all remaining replacement requests (both UK and International) logged in as of 11am today. Everyone has been emailed a message confirming dispatch of a replacement.
