Newswire #19 – 13th May 2015: MCM London Preview

We’re already in middle of May and things are just getting started for us! But in just over a week it’s MCM London Comic Con so we have lots of info to share with you about our activity at the event! Read on below for all the details.

NEWS/GENERAL UPDATES

~ A reminder that our next release is out this coming Monday (18th May) with the arrival of our Standard Edition Blu-ray and DVD of Durarara!!. You can get full details about this set in a post of ours from last week HERE.

~ Speaking of that, the first wave of replacement discs for Durarara!! were sent yesterday! Please read the replacement update section below for details.

~ For those of you who listened to our most recent podcast (details on that HERE) you’ll recall we mentioned that our friends at Viewster are bringing over a special guest with them from Japan to MCM London Comic Con. We wanted to make it known that we’re anticipating this special guest to be announced imminently. So keep an eye out for updates.

~ In case you missed it over the weekend we revealed what our release of Kill la Kill Part 3 will look like. (See image below.)

The picture is the Blu-ray version, but the only difference between this the DVD version is the colour of the discs. (The DVD disc being a Red background.) But a reminder that no matter where you purchase our release of Kill la Kill Part 3 on either Blu-ray or DVD it will come with the UK Exclusive Collector’s Box to store the series. (So whether you order it from the likes of Amazon UK, Base.com, our web shop… anywhere basically, you will receive the box with your order. Some retailers may not show the box in their preview images, but we can assure on day of release it will include the box.)

Also a quick note that Kill la Kill Part 3 is now being released a week later on 8th June. The date shift was a precautionary measure on our part ensure that all stock is ready in time. There was a chance it wouldn’t be for the date previously listed so we made the decision to shift the date.

~ Some of you eagle eyed people may have noticed this but we can confirm that Space Dandy Season 2 is now set for release on July 13th. (Approvals in this circumstance are the cause of this date shift.)

Anime Limited At MCM London Comic Con May 2015

Anime Limited are excited to announce a whole raft of exciting promotional exclusives for this year’s MCM London Comic Con in May 22-24! We have got freebies, promotional giveaways and gifts with purchase – all available on a first come, first served basis at the Anime Limited booth #1741.

So what have we got this year? What can you expect to see at MCM in May? A whole lot actually! We’ve got Kill la Kill, Space Dandy and various bits and bobs for fans – check out the details below.

Kill la Kill – Part 3 with Collector’s Box
This May, we will have some early release copies of Kill la Kill Part 3 including the Collector’s Box 2 weeks before the official retail date! That’s right – MCM visitors will be able to complete their collection and get their hands on this gorgeous set early enough to be the envy of your pals – so pop along and grab your copy while supplies last.

We also have a very special MCM exclusive offer: we will be giving away some gorgeous Kill la Kill branded tote bags with purchase of any Kill la Kill DVD or Blu-ray. That’s right! Whether it’s Part 1 or Part 3, you’re eligible for one of the KLK totes – that is, of course, while stocks last. And a word of warning, they are very limited in number so if you want your own MCM exclusive Limited Edition Kill la Kill tote bag, we suggest you get to the Anime Limited booth as early as possible.

Space Dandy Notebooks
Anime Limited will have even more MCM May exclusive giveaways – this time in the form of Limited Edition Space Dandy Notebooks! That’s right – we will be giving away these beautiful notebooks as a gift with any purchase over £50. These pretty sweet notebooks will be available to customers of the Anime Limited booth over the weekend while supplies last – so, once again, get in early if you can!

Oooooh! Badges!
We’ve got pure hunners of badges to give away at our booth as well for lucky customers this year! There are a whole bunch of different designs representing a bunch of our titles. The Anime Limited red panda mascot may even make an appearance or two.

Postcards
As ever, we will have our traditional postcards to give visitors of Booth #1741! We love to give away postcards with beautiful artwork from some of our favourite shows – so please pop round and pick up a couple to add to your collection.

There will be other bits and bobs going on over the weekend as well so at the very least, make sure you swing by and say hello! We look forward to seeing you all there.

Oh and we should also note that we’ll have 4 announcements to share with you all over the weekend. For those of you not attending the event, don’t worry you’ll be amongst the first to know what we’re announcing. (To quote Blackadder, we have a cunning plan. A plan that will reveal itself over the coming week.)

REPLACEMENT UPDATE

~ We’re delighted to say the first wave of replacement Durarara!! discs were sent out on Monday (11th May). Those who were in the first wave were sent an email confirming as such. Our plan is to fulfil as many UK replacements as we can before the MCM Comic Con event next week. Either way we’ll be sending everyone a email confirming their replacement discs have been sent once they have been dispatched, so you’ll know when to expect your discs to arrive.

Please note that international replacements likely won’t be getting fulfilled until after the MCM London Comic Con event.

~ A reminder that our those who purchased our Limited Edition Blu-ray set of Durarara!! can apply for a replacement set of discs. Get the full details HERE. (If you’re planning to apply for replacement discs please take the time to read all the details posted.)

– A reminder that we are still logging in applicants as we go and are intending to send a confirmation email to everyone who applies on a weekly basis. We ask that you please allow a few weeks to receive the confirmation from when you first apply. (The next wave of confirmation emails will be send by the end of this week.)
