Newswire #47 – 26th Nov. 2015

November 26, 2015 · 1 comment

It’s time for your latest weekly Anime Limited Newswire. This week we’re going to expanding on details in relation to our Terror In Resonance Ultimate Edition release and we have some other notes with upcoming releases to touch on as well.

GENERAL NEWS/NOTES

~ First of all a big thanks to everyone who came out to MCM Birmingham Comic Con this past weekend and stopped by the Anime Limited stand. It was great to speak to so many of you. We hope you had a fun weekend at the event. It’s hard to believe but MCM Birmingham was actually the last event we (Anime Limited) are at this year. Expect to see some details about what events in 2016 we’ll be at surfacing soon.

Gundam_example_3_500x500~ The time has nearly arrived! The original Mobile Suit Gundam series arrives in the UK for the first this Monday with the release of our Part 1 Blu-ray! If you haven’t already you can pre-order your copy today, get the details on our release HERE.

We also want to take a moment to say that if you’re wanting to get your hands on the version with the Collector’s Box to store both parts, you’ll want to think about doing it sooner rather than later. We officially have no more stock of this in our warehouse and all units have been sent to retailers so this Limited Edition version is already out-of-print. We want to stress that the version with the box is the only version that will be available on day on release, but once that stock has been exhausted there is no more of it and the reprint of Part 1 will be the amaray case on its own.

Terror In Resonance Ultimate Edition - coming in April 2016
Terror In Resonance Ultimate Edition – coming in April 2016

~ Last week in the Newswire we revealed what you can expect from our Terror In Resonance Ultimate Edition release.

The SRP for this release is £99.99, so you can expect the price to get lower than that – for example the Amazon UK listing is (at time of writing) £91.21 and we expect that fluctuate in the run up to release. As we mentioned last week our Ultimate Edition includes the entire series on both Blu-ray and DVD and comes with a 100 page hard back book. Today it’s the 100 page book we want to put the focus on specifically. Last week we referred to it as an Art Book, but there really is so much more to the book than just the wonderful art from the series and we want to make sure you’re fully aware of this.

To give full context, in Japan the series was released over 6 volumes, each coming with a small booklet containing art and written content, such as interviews and background information. When this came to our attention we instantly thought it would be great to get that content for our release as it would be a shame for it to never see the light of day in English. And we did just that, in fact we managed to get access to so much of the content we were seeking that this is what ultimately, no pun intended, help make this into an Ultimate Edition release.

Ultimate Edition of Terror In Resonance

We decided to make our planned book into a hard back book, which is similar size to the book included in our Gurren Lagann Ultimate Edition, to really help show off everything that will be included. The book will include sections showcasing character art, concept art, key frames from the animation and background art. But that’s not all as there is also an interview with Scriptwriters Hiroshi Seko, Jun Kumagia and Kenta Ihara, an interview with the Art Director Hidetoshi Kaneko, an interview with Animation Producer Manabu Otsuka & Assistant Director Yuzuru Tachikawa, an interview with the Chracter Designer & Chief Animation Director Kazuto Nakazawa and an interview with Director Shinichiro Watanabe. And all of that is contained in our 100 page hard back book.

Plus when you factor in the on-disc extras include episode commentaries, an in depth conversation with the cast and the textless opening and closing title sequences, we’ve really gone all out to make this as packed a release as possible.

For those of you who like to get in early with pre-orders, the Ultimate Edition of Terror In Resonance is listed on Amazon UK HERE.

~ Some of you have likely already discovered this, but there has been a date shift of Sword Art Online II: Part 2 by a few weeks and is now set for release on 28th December. We apologise for this but unfortunately this was unavoidable.

~ Some of you may recall that last year that our AllTheAnime.com web shop we had some special offers in the month of December. Well we’re happy to confirm that we will be having special offers this December too as it’s the return of Anime Limited’s ’12 Days of Christmas 1-Day Deals’. There will be set number of copies on special offer price each day (while stock lasts) and once the allocation has gone it will show up as sold out. There will be a different offer each so be sure to keep an eye out for great deals. The deals will run between 1st – 12th December beginning at 9am each day at our AllTheAnime.com web shop.

Please note all the 1-Day deals are available for UK & Ireland Residents Only.

Plus during this period be sure to keep an eye here on our blog as we’ll be making some special announcements and we’ll be holding competitions on our Facebook and Twitter pages too.

Pre ordered Terror In Resonance Ultimate Edition, that set looks amazing. I hope you pick up Prison School and Overlord from Madhouse and do something similar.
