NOTE 2 – This replacement scheme only applies those who purchased the Ultimate Edition Blu-ray set of Escaflowne. Our upcoming TV series standard edition Blu-ray set will have the re-authored third disc included by default.
What’s the status of the new ‘third’ discs?
The re-authored discs have been finalised and we are taking delivery of them this week! We’re anticipating them to arrive at our office any day now.
What’s the plan when it comes to sending them out?
For everyone who purchased this set from our AllTheAnime.com web shop, your will have received an email last week asking to please check your shipping address is the same as it was when your order was originally shipped. If you want it sent to a new address and haven’t responded to that email please do ASAP.
If you have applied for the replacement scheme by following the instructions noted back in November [see below as well for reference] your details have been logged and they will be getting sent out as soon as possible too.
In short, all going well we’re hoping to start sending out discs as soon as later this week / early next week.
HOW SOON WILL MY DISC BE SENT OUT?
Obviously we’re looking to get them all sent out as quickly as possible, but (as mentioned in our original post about the replacement scheme) we are a small team of five people so this will take some time to get through all the replacements – there were 1000 Escaflowne Ultimate Edition sets produced, so that 1000 discs we will ultimately (no pun intended) need to replace.
Our goal is to send out a large batch of replacement discs each week following the initial first wave.
However, so it’s easy to keep track of where things stand when things stand I (Jeremy) will be sending an email to everyone highlighting when your replacement disc has been sent.
HOW ARE THE DISCS BEING SENT OUT?
Each disc will be sent in a jiffy bag and the disc itself will be inside a jewel case (see picture right). Each parcel will be sent by standard post (airmail if an international parcel.) No tracking numbers will be available for these.
HOW QUICKLY WILL MY DISC ARRIVE?
If you’re in the UK
All going well it should only be a few working days from when it is sent. But please allow up to 7 working days as delivery times can vary.
If you’re in the Republic of Ireland
Generally we expect parcels to arrive at their destination within 7 working days. In case you’re not aware, all parcels to R.O.I. are classed as international shipments from the U.K.
If you live outside of the U.K.
International delivery times really can vary, so we ask to allow up to 30 working days for your disc to arrive. Though we anticipate it to be much quicker than that.
