Newswire #105 – 19th May 2017

May 19, 2017 · 0 comments

It’s the end of the week and given that next week is MCM London Comic Con we are going be knee-deep in preparation for that, so it’s entirely possible there won’t be another Newswire now until either during the event itself or after. So this edition of the Newswire is a quick brief catchup on things you need to know and bring up to speed on a few things to be aware of.

So, let’s get to it.

CINEMA SCREENINGS UPDATE

— First of all a big thanks to everyone who went to see Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry and the cinema this week! It’s been wonderful to hear from so many of you who have enjoyed seeing Fairy Tail on the big screen. There still some additional screenings taking place, and you can details on said additional screenings at fairytailthemovie.co.uk

— You’re probably curious as to what;’s next on the docket when it comes to cinemas screenings from us? Might be an idea to keep an eye on us next week, particularly over the MCM London weekend, as we might have some details to share… 😉

MCM LONDON COMIC CON UPDATE

We’re officially a week away from the event… *Jeremy panics slightly, then regains composure*, and that means we have to let you know what to expect from us during the event! Well you’ll be able to know what we have planned for the show later today. At around 7pm tonight we’ll be publishing a separate post dedicated to highlighting what will be going down at the show. Be on the lookout for that later today!

UPDATE: The post detailing our activity at MCM London Comic Con is now live. READ IT HERE

ALL THE ANIME UPDATES

— First of all, next week (Monday 22nd May) sees two new home video releases and a digital release available to add to your collection.

We have the Ltd Collector’s Edition Blu-ray of Selector Infected WIXOSS (see our unboxing for that HERE), plus the DVD and Ltd Collector’s Edition Blu-ray+DVD set of Persona 3: Movie #3 Falling Down available. (Check out our unboxing of Persona 3 Movie 3, published earlier today HERE.)

But that’s not all, as A Silent Voice will be available on select UK digital platforms including iTunes and Amazon Video. Read all about that HERE.

— Looking ahead to 29th May, the day after MCM London Comic Con ends, Tokyo Marble Chocolate will be available to add to your collection. Check out the trailer for that below, and you can see our unboxing published yesterday HERE.

— Now some of the eagle eyed folks may have noticed this on the release schedule page at our web shop, but unfortunately due to a production delay the release of Charlotte Part 1 has now been pushed back by a few weeks to the 12th June. Many apologies for this – it was our intension to make this available for pre-order this week at our shop, but in light of the last minute date you’ll now be able to pre-order this at our shop the week after MCM London Comic Con.

— In fact that’s a nice segue in to a few notes about our AllTheAnime.com web shop over the next few weeks.

—– Any orders placed after 5pm on Tuesday 23rd May 2017 will not be shipped until Wednesday 31st May 2017 at the earliest. This is due to us exhibiting at MCM London Comic Con. However please note payment for orders will be still be taken during this time.

—– We know a lot of you are wondering when you’ll be able to pre-order a lot of upcoming titles slated for June at our web shop, as they are all currently marked as ‘Coming Soon’. In light of the fact that our whole team will be at MCM London Comic Con we have decided we not be making any new listings for product live for pre-order until after the MCM London event itself. So as an example. Persona 3: Movie #4, slated for release on 5th June, won’t be available order to order from our site until likely Tuesday 30th May at earliest. We have a particular way we manage orders at our web shop and this is to ensure that process is not disrupted or compromised.

FUNIMATION TITLE UPDATES

— In all honesty, there aren’t any new updates to bring you at this time following our last Newswire. Things are looking good *knock on wood as I type this* when it comes to June releases. But if there any new developments before MCM London we’ll be sure to make it known over the coming week.

— In case you missed it, you can watch the trailer for Overlord, available from 12th June below.

And that concludes this quick catchup Newswire! I appreciate some might worry if there aren’t any updates on a lot of things, but fret not as things are genuinely looking good! If anything I’d say next week in general might a fairly update heavy week leading into MCM, so keep your eyes peeled for updates as we can share them.

Signing out~!

Jeremy
